Itinerary Description
Arrival Day
Welcome to Mwanza
Your adventure begins the moment you arrive in Mwanza. You will be welcomed to Wag hill Homestay, a peaceful property perched on Capri Point, offering views over Lake Victoria and the perfect place to unwind before your safari begins. This evening is yours to settle in, breathe, and prepare for the days ahead.
Day 1: Into Serengeti
After breakfast, your private safari guide will meet you at Wag hill homestay at 8:00 am. With lunchboxes packed, you begin the 2-hour journey toward the Serengeti National Park — watching the urban edges melt into open savannah.
The moment you enter the park, the safari begins. Wildlife appears almost instantly: giraffes moving in slow motion among acacias, elephants crossing the plains, or a lion pride resting near the road.
Your destination is the central Serengeti (Seronera) — the heart of the ecosystem, rich in predators and home to vast resident wildlife year-round.
As the sun dips low, you arrive at your chosen camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.
Tonight’s possible accommodation options:
– Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp
– Kubukubu Tented Lodge
– Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge
Day 2: Full Day in the Wild
Today is a full day dedicated to exploring the Serengeti. With no rush and no limits, you follow wildlife at your own pace — perhaps a leopard in a sausage tree, a cheetah scanning the grasslands, or endless herds of wildebeest and zebra moving across the plains.
Your guide will fill the day with sightings you may have missed the day before, always adapting to where the animals are most active. You return to camp at sunset for another evening under canvas or stone lodges, surrounded by the soft sounds of the night.
Dinner and overnight at:
– Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp / Lahia Tented Lodge / Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge
Day 3: One Last Safari, Return to Mwanza
You enjoy one final morning on safari — this time exploring the western side of the park, where river valleys, hills and rich grasslands create dramatic wildlife encounters.
After lunch and final sightings, you exit the park and drive back to Mwanza, returning to Waghill Lodge & Spa, where a warm welcome, lake views and restful comfort await. The Serengeti adventure ends, but the relaxation begins.
Day 4: A Day at the Lake
A full day at Wag hill — no schedule, no vehicle, just rest and optional experiences: spa time, lakeside lounging, short activities around Mwanza, or simply enjoying the views. A beautiful way to close the year.
Day 5: Departure
Your journey concludes with check-out after breakfast… and the beginning of new memories carried home.
